A Computer Engineer turned Paper Artist
Hi, I’m Mrudula Tandel — the artist and creator behind MrudulArt. Paper inspires me. Colours calm me. Art completes me.
My journey with paper art began after I stepped away from my corporate career in 2011. During the years that followed, while I was a homemaker, I discovered quilling and began exploring it simply out of curiosity and a love for creating. One curl of paper led to another, and what started as a hobby slowly became a passion I couldn’t put down.
Over time, that passion eventually became MrudulArt, where I create and share handmade paper artworks from my studio in Bangalore.
Every piece you see here is made by hand — from cutting and rolling individual strips of paper to shaping and assembling each tiny detail. Nothing is printed or mass-produced. Some artworks take days to create, while others take weeks, but I continue to find the process just as calming and fulfilling as I did when I made my very first quilled flower.
Through my art, I hope to bring a little more beauty, warmth, and personality into your spaces. Whether you find a piece that speaks to you or have an idea you’d like me to bring to life, I’d love to create something special for you.
